On August 30th 2006 - Mark, Aaron Griggs (guitar), and Chuck Jackson were invited to the Toronto Sick Children's Hospital Bear Theater to conduct a Blues harmonica workshop. This workshop was part of the The Southside Shuffle Harps For Kids Stage. Each child that attended received their own harmonica, and a lesson on how to care and play their instrument. Mark had them playing after one session. They talked a lot about Blues music and Chuck Jackson (Downchild Blues Band - Southside Shuffle Executive Director) performed the "Harmonica Conversation" with Mark.

This visit was make possible through the Festival sponsors Pharmaceudical Partners Of Canada Inc. (Myles Tangedal), La Villa Bakery (Johnny Bozzo) of Port Credit, and The Southside Shuffle. Through generous donations, we were able to lift the spirits of a bunch of kids and a few parents for a good part of the afternoon.
